Pro-Hort is an educational committee of the Illinois Green Industry Association dedicated to bringing educational opportunities to members of the horticulture profession in Illinois.

Previously, the symposium was developed and hosted by the Central Illinois Professional Horticulture Committee (CIPHC) and the Illinois Green Industry Association (IGIA). In July 2003, CIPHC merged with the IGIA to expand the symposium and the two workshops to better serve industry professionals. 

Through educational opportunities, practitioners are given the opportunity to increase their knowledge of important and timely issues facing the green industry. 

The Pro-Hort committee is comprised of professionals from all areas of specializations, who have volunteered their time to design this conference with comprehensive and complimentary presentations.
