Configuring a Router Default IP Address Easily

Incubation for Bacterial Pink Eye

Pink eye (may also be called conjunctivitis or madras eye) is the inflammation of the outermost layer of the eye and inner eyelids. That part is called the conjunctiva (where conjunctivitis is derived). It is commonly accompanied by the reddening of the eye or hyperemia in that area, watering or teary eyes (epiphora), and irritation (possibly edema).

Conjunctivitis may be bacterial, viral, or caused by dryness or an allergic reaction and irritants. The treatment for pink eye would depend on what type it is. We will focus on the bacterial conjunctivitis.

Bacterial Pink Eye

Pink eye due to bacteria that is pyogenic (creates pus), will cause irritation and an opaque mucopurulent discharge (secretion of pus) that maybe yellow or grayish in color. This can make the eyelids stick together after sleeping for a long period. The pus is also possibly an effect from feces unless the infected eye was exposed to toxins. A person with bacterial pink eye would then experience blurring of the vision because of the pus.

Another symptom after the incubation period could be the crusting of the eye and the skin surrounding it. It could be painful for more acute pyogenic conjunctivitis. Photophobia, or the sensitivity to light or brightness, is also common. This can also cause the eyes to tear continuously.

Although bacterial pink eye usually just affects one eye, it can easily infect and spread to the other. The incubation period is about three days until the symptoms appear. Bacterial conjunctivitis is contagious, and same goes for viral pink eye. It can be spread from the physical contact of one person to another, and can also be caused by contaminated objects.

Killing the Bacteria

For some types of pink eye, the treatment could only be by placing cold compress. The treatment for pink eye caused by bacteria would require something different. Usually, it can simply go away without any treatment. But if three days have passed and the infected eye still has not improved, then it is advisable to place eye drops, ointments, or antibacterial. Without these, there is a possibility that it will affect the other areas and cause it to grow larger. The person will have a hard time opening the eye and it will cause pain.

Fortunately, even without the treatment for pink eye, it will normally slowly disappear just as long as you take good care of it. This can be done by keeping the infected eye clean and not rubbing it.

Other Indications

Stated earlier are the different symptoms for pink eye, which should not be outstanding. They are only temporary and do not cause very serious problems. If photophobia and blurring of the vision is prominent, have it checked. This may be symptoms of more serious diseases.

How to Strengthen Your Linksys Security Password

Your linksys security password is your important tool to protect your connection from being maliciously attacked by intruders. You have to make it a point to set up your linksys router password. A strong password is advisable and you can do this by changing the default password of your router.

Creating a Strong Password

Creating a strong linksys password is simple. The password should contain both letters and numbers, for example: A1; using both lower and upper cases like A1b2; comprising of at least ten (10) characters, such as A1b2CdeF34. The password should be meaningful to you so you can easily remember it but it should be difficult for others to crack.

Changing The Default Password

The default linksys router password is ‘admin’. In newer versions of the router, this default also serves as the username. You need this to enter the configuration settings of your router. Once done, you must change the default password to your preferred strong password.

To change your password, log in to your router’s web page at http://192.168.1.1. Make sure that your router and your pc is connected through the Ethernet cable. As you pull up the web page, you will see a pop up box that will ask you for your username and password.

That is where you are going to enter the default password, and if the page requires you for the username, you may also use the same default ‘admin’. By entering your credentials (username and password) you should be able to log in.

You will see several options to configure the settings of your router. For changing the password however, go to administration and click of the management tab. It is on this tab that you are going to change the default to a strong linksys security password.

As you click the button for password, it will ask you for your password where you will input the strong password that you have created. You will also need to confirm the password by inputting it the second time. Be sure to input exactly the same password in the right cases as your password is case sensitive.

Resetting the Password

If in case you have forgotten your password for whatever reasons or you want to change password as it may have been compromised, what you need to do is to press the reset button of your router for not less than thirty (30) seconds. It shall revert to its original settings or factory default.

Open your web browser and pull up the web page of your linksys router. Follow the same procedure as that of changing the default password. Make sure that you have created a strong password. Fill up the password field and retype your password to confirm.

To verify if your linksys security password is working, unplug the Ethernet cable connecting your router and computer, restart the computer, wait for about twenty (20) seconds, plug back the cable and access the web page of your router. If it accepts your password, then it must be working.
